One-Company One-village Sisterhood Relationship Building
To improve the co-existence of rural and urban areas, STX Heavy Industries established a sisterhood relationship with Jeongam Village, Haman, in September 2006, and continues a good relationship with the village to this day.
On a half-yearly basis, all of our staff visit the village to help the farmers during the farming season and provide a variety of practical support, including farming equipment and other necessary goods, in order to help support the rural economy.
One Company - One Mountain / One Company-One River Campaign
In order to fulfil our social responsibilities to the local community of Changwon City, where our workplace is located, we are pleased to participate in the ‘One Company Taking Care of One Mountain’ and ‘One Company Cleaning One River’ campaigns.
We are exerting efforts to provide the citizens of Changwon City with a pleasant living environment, including recreational spaces, by removing wastes and contaminants from the mountains and rivers in and around Changwon City.
Support for Preserving Wet Lands
In 2007, we organized 'Corporate Supporters for the Preservation of Wet Lands' to contribute to the environment preservation of Woopo Swamp and Junam Reservoir. Since 2008, we have been a supporter of the protection of ibises in the Woopo Swamp, in addition to various campaigns aimed at creating a green environment.
After signing an agreement for the Ramsar Convention with the Gyeongnam Provincial Government in 2010, we are continuously participating in creating a green environment.
Giving Hope to the Next Generation
We are performing various activities to give our next generations hope for the future by continuously supporting families in need as well as children of broken families in connection with the Meari (Echo) District Children Center and Seongju District Children Center. We present the children with school supplies at the beginning of the new school term, support year-end events including Christmas events and fuel costs for heating during winter, provide vehicles for outings to famous spots and camps, as well as voluntary services while accompanying them. Henceforth, we will extend the extent of support to childcare centers and other groups that may need our help.
Sharing Love with the Less Fortunate
We are participating in various voluntary social service programs for the less fortunate. In cooperation with the Briquette of Love Sharing Campaign Center, each year our staff deliver briquettes to those in need, together with the warmth of their love.

STX Happy Volunteer Week
STX Happy Volunteer Week is a representative social service campaign of STX Business Group in which all staff of the Group participate in relay. During the STX Happy Volunteer Week, staff of STX Heavy Industries and their families provide direct and substantial voluntary services by participating in social welfare activities, environment preservation, contribution to local communities, etc.
STX Heavy Industries will continue its social contribution activities to fulfil its social responsibilities.
